I like the old pan pizza from the Pizza Hut. This pan can take you back to those days. Take about 2 tablespoons of oil and schmear it around the inside of the pan. At Sam's pick up a case of "Member's Mark Flat Pizza Dough". Frozen dough discs about 14" in diameter. They make fresh dough dead simple and zero mess. They are a tad too large for this pan since as others have stated the interior is actually 13 and a 1/4", but as they thaw (quickly, in about 15 minutes) they drop in to place and line the pizza pan perfectly. Then cover the pan with the dough in it with the plastic bag that comes with the dough. Let if proof as much as you like on the counter or overnight in the fridge. If you want to speed it up turn the oven on and let the warmth of the proof the dough faster. Then just make your pizza and bake at 450 for 17 minutes. You'll be amazed. If you just want to use it as a pan for frozen pizza it's fine for that too. It's good for crisping leftover slices too.

i can only say that i had the pan for a short time and had to return it. i got a deffective pan due to after a few uses it cracked. i want to be fair and say, i am not going to tell you don't buy one because i got a deffective one. i did enjoy cooking on it as well as making pizzas with it and so easy to clean.

Was beautiful right out of the box, but I still give it a coat of oil and warm it up in the oven after a quick scrub. Initially I just wanted a big hunk of cast iron to make tortillas on without having a hot spot, I'm glad I got this bigger size. Made some sourdough pizza on a on the very first one barely resisted sliding off after I pulled it out of the oven. Nice large cooking area, overall very happy and will be using it for much more than pizza.

No more scratched and dented aluminum pizza pans! Easy to wash with soap and water, then dry it well and spritz it with cooking oil spray. This will be handy for lots more than cooking pizzas–I think it'll be good for baking cookies too. It looks so nice it can even be used as a serving tray or for charcuterie.

I have been using these iron pizza pans for several months and they are really good. For use: preheat pan in the oven on 350 and remove from oven. Sprinkle with cornmeal and place rolled out crust (King Arthur recipe) on pan and shape. Bake until there begins to be a slight golden color in a few places. Remove from oven and add toppings. Return to oven and bake pizza. Cool. Wash. Dry. Air dry for a little while. Pour about a tsp of oil onto pan and rub all over pan. Pans never rust. Makes delicious crispy crust or chewy if you make crust thicker and bake for a little less time. Would recommend 1000 times! I had pizza stones and the past, and I like these much better. Would never bake pizza crust again any other way.

Great size for pizza or flat surface cooking. I always sand down through the factory seasoning and smooth out the cast iron. This pan was rougher than most I have done. If you have a drill and two-inch discs, go from 36gr to 240gr and it will come out great. Use Crisbee seasoning and you are set for life with this pan.

The only way to make homemade pizza with a good crust is a cast iron pizza pan. I was a little skeptical because the price was very low. But, we used this four times in one night for homemade pizzas and it was easy to clean and really non stick.

I haven't taken the time to season or use this pan yet but first impression is that mine isn't as rough as some reviewers seem to feel. A slick non stick surface comes with use and proper seasoning, possibly something that I feel many of the negative reviews might have failed to take into account. Or perhaps, I got lucky and got a decently made pan which I hope to enjoy for many years to come.

Top quality. We use this on our really big, hot 20000 BTU burner. Great for making quick flatbread once properly preheated to about 460F. Pre seasoned. For those who have the technique down about preheating cast iron, this is a great pan. Can cook with high heat unlike nonstick pans.

I was hesitant to buy this product initially thinking of the weight for a 14" cast iron pan, but surprisingly its not as heavy as I thought. This cast iron is as good as any other cast iron, but do not follow the company’s seasoning instructions. Follow Lodge’s recommendations for seasoning, i.e., season above the smoke point of the oil used. Bake in the oven for at least an hour. This will turn the oil into a polymer seasoning. The key is to apply the oil very lightly. Therefore, I apply the oil, then warm the pan for a minute or two, then wipe all the oil off with a dry towel. Repeat once more, then set the oven above the smoke point and bake for an hour. Rocky’s provides a chart of seasoning smoke points online. Seasoning is like spray paint; a few thin layers are better than one thick layer.

Pizza, Pizza oh Pizza. You put this thing in the oven at 500 for 30 min, then take it out using long asbestos gloves like an iron worker. Then slide the raw pizza you made on a bed of slippery cornmeal into the blazing hot iron pan shove it back in the oven and 10 min later it's on! This is incredibly tricky operation and dangerous as hell. I'm covered in burns fresh and old, but if your like me you won't care! practice makes perfect!
