First boat I had to return to Amazon due to air leak (in the seams). Second replacement boat also had an air leak (two holes on the bottom). I decided to keep the boat and patched both holes. The only reason I'm giving this product satisfactory mark is due to it's low price (I purchased it for under $70). Also if you have any questions about the product don't bother contacting Intex customer service (they are not very competent) and better just go on-line and try to find the answer on your own.
I would consider this boat to be a disposable product and I don't expect to last more then 3 or 4 times on water before it becomes unusable (it is not a good a quality product). However, It still cheaper then renting the boat. Again, don't expect much from this item and you might be satisfied with what you got.

Love this boat! The only complaint is the bottom section is a pita to inflate and ever greater pain to deflate. The section is bigger than on k2 kayak but the nipple is smaller, weird design choice but ok.
Other than that it rocks! Installed 40lb minn kota motor on it and it handles perfect.

This thing is large. I bought this for a trip to use as a tow boat for all my gear on a recent kayak trip. Though it preformed its desired duty, I can't say it did much for my comfort. I inflated it a couple times before the trip to make sure there wasn't any major leaks and each time it started to sag after about an hour with the initial inflation; though after bumping it back up with a refill it seemed to last longer. The raft did its job on the trip; I filled it with about 700lbs of gear and towed it across a gentle ocean inlet for about 3 hours and it kept my gear dry, but again when I beached it and unloaded it the raft was pretty saggy. I would not take my family in it far from shore or on a long trip, but for the price it was worth the purchase and my needs

I got this product on 8th of August and I didn't get a chance to use it till 23rd of this month. Regarding the boat it is excellent, served as expected for such a price and too good for a family of 4. My daughter just loved it. It is too spacious inside and not too difficult in inflating and deflating.
But the High Output Air Pump whatever we got along with this product doesn't work well. We got a faulty piece. I don't prefer to return the entire thing just for this single piece. Not sure what I need to do to get a conditioned one with out returning or exchanging the entire stuff.

This is an early review after one outing and may be amended.
First it is bone easy to set up. The pump that comes with very well thought out package worked great and we were walking our boat into the water after only about 15 minutes. This was the first time we had ever set one up! So long as you fill up in order its a breeze. It fit me (5'9 215lbs) my wife (5'3 130 lbs) a cooler and a small box with room to spare. Very comfortable. It has a very shallow draft and just whisked across the lake with little effort even though it was a windy day. We spent 3 hours rowing around the lake and even had breakfast on the boat. The oars work well and it comes with clips to store the oars when not in use, fishing rod holders, a bit of rope to hold onto the boat, 2 inflatable seat cushions and the double action pump. If there were one thing I would change it would be valve 1 which is for the floor. It is a nipple style instead of the threaded valves of the other two chambers and it is kind of a pain to get all the air out. With the other two chambers just unscrew and instantly deflated but chamber one required some effort with me holding the nipple open while the wife rolled and pressed the raft. BUT … for under $70 we had an amazing time and even got it back in the box. Going to be heading to a different lake this weekend. So far .. highly recommended!!

I was very skeptical when ordering this product. We now live on the Gulf Coast of Florida and there are many parks with lakes for boating and fishing in the area. I have ordered Intex beds before to find they leak easily, so putting me and my teens in this boat was something I was skeptical about. However, we kept our initial journey to a shallow lake and everyone had life vests on just in case the boat began to leak air. I was pleasantly surprised by our day on the lake. We had the boat in the water for four hours without an issue. I do definitely recommend life vests, but so far so good. I'll update this review if anything changes. Don't let the price fool you. It seems to be an incredible buy.

I really love the accessibility this boat represents. It's light, durable enough to skid over rocks (but I wouldn't press my luck with barnacles). It has a couple of key weaknesses: Three separate valves is fine, but the one for the floor is a pop-up, like a kid's toy, so it's difficult to access and doesn't work very well with a pump. Also the oars that come with this are very stubby, so look for longer ones and probably something to adjust your seat height to bring the oars in front of you

I have had a lot of rafts from a lot of companies over the years, all 3 to 6 person in size. This one has to be my favorite. Its VERY sturdy once it's inflated. Usually you sink down into or can press down on the walls quite a bit in inflated rafts (minus river guide rafts), but this one is much harder. It's also very quick on the water, keeping pace with sub 10 foot kayaks, probably due to the hardiness of it. I would be comfortable taking this raft in any water type.

The boat is roomy inflates nice seems durable I would recommend a plug in pump or battery powered portable because the supplied hand pump would take alot more time and energy than I want to exert for airing up boat..
I wouldnt recommend this on a high wind big lake because strong wind is quite hard to paddle against if you plan on traveling somewhere with the wind and not coming back then your all set.. Great river raft or small lakes boat I cut out a wood floor for the bottom and this reinforced the floor considerably…Oh yea get some different paddles..

OMG! My kids and I have had the most fun at our local dam with this thing. Worth every penny. I can't attest to the precision of rowing or the aptitude of the bow…since I know nothing about boats or rowing. But WHO CARES. I learned to row in 15 minutes and rowed 2 miles my first day and had a blast. If you want to have a great time and enjoy the water without worrying about transporting kayaks/canoes/boats and then STORING those kayaks/canoes/boats…this is a HASSLE FREE way to have fun. It doesn't break the bank. I don't need special equipment or a truck or a shed to store everything. This is perfect for the person who wants to have water adventures without all hassle. Best money I spent all year!

I normally don't bother leaving reviews, but this raft deserves a great review!
Inflated it completely in 8 min 15 sec. (Pump is very well designed; allowing air to go into the raft when you both push and pull – x2 faster filling speed than a standard pump)
Deflating the raft took maybe 3 min total.
However, I was most impressed with the parts with the holes that hold the paddles onto the raft. I was 100% certain that they would rip right off in use (Being a Marine, I was NOT gentle on them at all, paddling as fast and hard as I could to test it out) No issues at all.
I easily fit myself (31, 6' 175lbs.) + the girlfriend (27, 5'4") + our dog (25lbs.) + call camping supplies onto the raft.
The material is nice and thick (we didn't let our dog put his nails on the raft out of precaution – laid down a towel for him)
We went roughly 2 miles on it total. No issues at all.
TIP: Don't sit on the inflatable pillows, they're to be used as a back rest.
A+ product. Very well designed.

It's been a really great boat. You don't wanna try to paddle it on a river so much! It sits on top of the water so your going for a ride you may not wanna. But perfect for lakes and ponds. We've had many adventures in this

We needed a cheap option to float a generator into our yard after a bad flooding season. It took me and my boyfriend 20 minutes to fill up with the included pump. It was much larger than we thought, and it handled two weeks of floating in supplies and a generator in separate trips. We pulled the raft behind us and it worked like a charm. It also held up to being dragged and bumped by the odd mailbox (lol). After we were done with the flooding, we use it as a light hobby raft. The only downside are the cheap oars. The ones it came with snapped very easily. Other than that, it accommodate me at 150 lbs and my boyfriend at 220 lbs well. Or, it handled 300 lbs of supplies well in two feet of water. I definitely recommend this for light use on a budget. Just get some sturdier oars or mount a light trolling motor in the back (it has the mount for a small motor in the rear). It is a good size and a good value.

Seems like sturdy material. The manual pump is actually really fast. The electric pump I bought did nothing. Again, the HIN not affixed to boat, but found on smaller side of the box (the box with the pictures and stuff). This drove me nuts for hours as I could not find it and actually had to do some research to know what I was looking for, which turned out to be a small white sticker with nine digits. These I then entered on the Intex website to procure the manufacturers origin certificate, which is the document needed to register the craft (since I'm putting a $100 trolling motor on my $60 raft, I have to pay around $40 in registration fees).

I cannot say much about it in terms of its water worthy performance. Mine was defective out of the box in that the Chamber marked no. 2
was hissing out air even before it even reached a significant level of air using the included air pump. I tested the rubber surround around the Boston Valve with soapy water and it was leaking out between where the seal of the surround meets the pvc material. Not something one would be able
to fix with a patch. A real shame. I was looking forward to adding some custom mods for a 1-2 person fishing boat but had to send it back. I ordered
another to replace it off Amazon but the seller this time was exclusively by Amazon, LLC. Will hope for a better experience when I get
the next one. Intex seems to have troublesome issues with air leaks I have observed specifally with the Boston Valves. They seem to intermittently
leak. I have (2) other Intex inflatables. A Seahawk 2 and the older larger, heavier gauged discontinued Seahawk II which has been replaced by
the newer Mariner 3.. They both sometimes leak air out the Boston Valves in a couple hours and then other times they will hold air for several hours
or even a couple of days fine. Go figure…

Took it out on the lake by our home. This thing is a blast. It's made of a really thick and durable plastic, our doggo's nails didn't even scratch it. It's pretty roomy, but definitely not a 4 person boat. I'd say 2 adults and a child, or even just 2 adults so you don't have to sit on other people. I know other reviews really deck theirs out with wood flooring. I don't know if I'm that serious about it yet lol that would increase the set up time.
It took me about 12 minutes to blow it up with the pump. It's a workout. I'll probably end up getting an electric or battery powered pump to blow up the three chambers next time. The included paddles are not very long, but they work in a pinch. The wind started picking up when we were out so I had to paddle my ass off to get back to the dock… It was rough lol definitely going to get another set of paddles eventually. I would get a little trolling motor to put on the back but then I'd have to go through the pain of registering it with the state.

We also have a Seahawk 4. This boat is shorter, but has some upgrades over our 4. The rowlocks work much better. The size difference was much more manageable on the river and easier to inflate, however the the pump did break immediately and had to be continuously repaired. Luckily, we had an electric pump and another manual pump.

This is a 2 person boat if you're both under 4 feet tall. Otherwise, there's no leg room. I'm 5' 8", my lady friend is 5' 3" and she had to sit cross-legged, since I can't, to keep my feet off her that I drew in as much as I could. The boat is so shallow inside that any position except sitting down and staying sat was about impossible without lurching half out of the boat because the boat is so flexible. There's no internal or other cross-bracing. Getting into the boat was a similar problem, there's no bracing, it's like a kid's toy, it bends every which way. The rod holders did manage to hold our light little fishing poles, at a scary angle. The boat was pumped up a little past what was recommended, to stiffen it up, but it was no help.
The seams seem well made, it didn't lose air over a week of setting on the garage floor, and it floated securely. The little oars worked well in the oarlocks. If you just want an oversized air mattress to float on, that's about what this is, but something big enough for two less-than-large people to fish on a quiet lake from, it is not

The Seahawk 4 is a well-built raft it is designed to install a 1.5 horsepower motor on the back. Very thick material and built of high quality also it is a very big raft over 11 foot long and over 4foot wide. product was purchased on Saturday 10:00 at night the expected delivery wife for Wednesday and I wind up getting the product Monday afternoon two days ahead of schedule this seller is on point with shipping out my product I would give a 10 star if I could

I bought this for me and my wife. From all of the reviews I almost thought it was going to be too small for us. After taking it to the lake I found that it is perfect for us. I think you could fit at least four people comfortably. We had two fishing poles a cooler two life jackets and the pump and we still had quit a bit of leg room.
We took the boat on a 4 mile river float and it did great. The river was low and I was worried about the shallow spots and poking a whole in the bottom. We got stuck three or four times in real shallow water. After we got back I figured there would have been a couple scratches but there was nothing. The material is very durable. I was also worried about how well it would maneuver through the swift current and around the bends. It did fine through it all. It sits really high in the water which is another reason the bottom didn't get tore up.
One thing that did bug me were the paddles. They come with black circle stoppers to keep the paddles from sliding out of the holders. Those stoppers kept sliding and I would constantly have to push them back down.
My wife and I also took the paddles and paddled canoe style which was a little difficult because the sides are wide.
One other thing I was wondering was if I could get in and out in open water. I tried getting in and it was a little strange looking to do it but I got in with out too much problem. If we weren't in the water so much the inside would have stayed really dry. Most of the water that was in the boat wasn't really a factor because it stayed in the edges where its a little lower from the floor and the side wall sections.
I really like this boat. I plan on getting a trolling motor for the lake. It really gets blown around in the Oklahoma winds. I would recommend this boat to everyone. It is very affordable and mobile

My husband and I planned a trip to the Smokey Mountains two years ago and it happened the cabin we rented was on a small lake and we both love to fish, but we could tell that you'd need a boat to get to some of the areas that looked the most promising fish wise soooooo I went "shopping". Even though it was only going to be used by the two of us I knew we wanted something bigger than the traditional 2 person boat and though this one is rated for 4 it's better suited to comfortably seat two! We both loved it and it was a breeze to use too! Long story short we ate fish two of the 7 nights we were there and man was it GOOD!!!! Nice thick walls and fairly comfortable, I did all the rowing and it wasn't hard at all it scooted across the water with two full grown adults in it! Would totally recommend this to anyone wanting a small boat to putter around in for fun or fishing out of, roomy enough for fishing equipment and the two of you!!!! Great product at a nice price!! I will say that though I used the included manual pump to blow up the floor I used a coleman battery pump for the rest of it!!

Well, I've been out now 5 times with my wife and 2 kids fishing and I have to say I love this boat! I did make a plywood deck which I hinged and carpeted in marine carpet. This added a lot of rigidity to the boat and made it much more comfortable. The rod holders are OK but I plan to make a different rod holder that goes in the oar locks. I do have a minn kota 30 lbs. Tolling motor and I must say I'm impressed! It's does not move the boat more than about 4 mph but I have had no trouble getting around the lake even in 15 to 20 mph wind with 4 people!! I would honestly say anything more than the 30 lbs thrust would probably not move it any faster and just be overkill.I did purchase a 12v pump and I would recommend this to everyone! My wife and I have gotten to the point we can inflate and be on the water within 15 mins for the time we get to the lake. Overall this is one of the best investments I have made. If you are looking to get out on the water and fish or just Cruise around on a budget you can't go wrong with the Intex Seahawk 4!

Bought this on an implus and I've loved every second of it. I use a air matreses pump to inflate it quick and it works great and makes it easy to transport cause I just deflate it when I'm done and inflate it when I get to where I'm putting it in. I had 3 friends and myself 2 in the front 2 in the back and we fit great could of even fit a 5th in the middle. I ended up watching videos of people puttin in the wood floors and motor and I'm hooked already bought a mount for the motor just need to get a motor and then I'm going to start building the floor still on the line weather to get a 36,46 or 55 lb thruster but they all seem like they will work great. Can't wait to get it all together and use this little boat to cruse around on the river and use it for duck hunting

What are you even DOING here!? Just buy it already! I got this boat when it was on sale for like $60 and let me tell you what, I'd 100% go and buy another for the full asking price of 116$
This boat isn't a just a raft. Its a BOAT. Think of whatever you're taking this out for: Rapids? Yup. Sharp object here and there just under the surface? Tougher than it looks. Trying to get on those waters and make all the other fisherman feel like land-locked peasants? Yes sir, two rod holders ready to go! Wanna take some rowdy kids and maybe sneak a cast or two in there? YES, hold insane weight and actually has a decent amount of room relative to comparable priced rafts. Tiny car? It inflates longer than your car but condenses so small you can put this in your spare tire well! Wanna customize? THIS IS THE MOST CUSTOMIZED BOAT ON THE MARKET! Just google a couple picks, redneck engineers have DONE IT.
Why are you even here. Why even read this? Order the damn thing already!

Just for anyone looking at how to register this boat in Ohio.
Go the Intex website, navigate to the page for this boat, click on the FAQs at the bottom and look for the link to the "Certificate of Origin.". Print that out and take it to wherever you register boats in your area. I went to Cabela's and had the boat registered in 5 minutes.
Also, if you're handy with a saw, make a wood bottom for this thing. I used 1/2" plywood and covered it with outdoor carpet secured with 3M Super 77. Night and day difference. I can stand up in this thing now.

I was looking for a economical personal float, and decided to settle for a 3 person float to make sure it was large enough for my purposes. All items provided seem to be of a good quality. The hand pump had this up and ready to go in a reasonable amount of time, And it survived my sister in law and her two kids going over shallow waters and rocks. Like anything inflatable the first few inflates the material will stretch but it honestly only seemed to lose maybe 7 to 10% of firmness because of material stretch. Only got about 10 hours of use so far but 10 out of 10 recommend.

When I first ordered this I thought to myself. How great can this thing be for only 100$ When I opened it up I began to pump it up. This thing is HUGE!!! I was so relieved that I didn't purchase a piece of crap. I pumped it all the way up, even the pillows, assembled everything and got in it in the yard. It was comfortable and I couldn't want to get it out on the water. Fast forward to the weekend.
I got it out on the water and was surprised at how well it held up. It didn't bend in the middle like I thought it would and shows absolutely no signs of leaking or deflating.
I have loaded this thing with the following(at separate occasions mind you):
4 people-it worked well and didn't shows any weakness
2 people with fishing rods and tackle boxes-the built in rod holders are pretty decent for certain types of fishing rods
my self and my pet dog-the 40 gauge PVC is very durable kind of like a super heavy duty exercise ball almost
on every challenge I put this thing through it worked well. I have had in on the water up to 6 hours at a time and it deflated very little( a little deflation is to be expected with any inflatable device.
To help you correctly gauge deflation rate, at about 6 hours on the water I had to pump about 10 times to fill it up with the provided pump, with the provided pump it takes about 200 pumps to fully inflate the entire raft I would say, so it deflates very little.
The provided equipment is all very useful, the seats work very well and can change the feeling from you being in a raft to a bass boat!!!(which is what I mainly use this for)
The oars are actually very good and disassemble which makes this thing a no brainer. I fully deflate everything and fold it up, put it in the back of my HONDA CIVIC and then assemble it at the lake.
Extra equipment you might consider that proves useful to me: anchor, life jacket(which are mandatory in some states), fish scale, and extra bag to hold all this.
If you still aren't convinced look at some YouTube videos where people have modified these things with hard floors and trolling motors!! HOW AWESOME IS THAT

I bought this for my son for Christmas, and haven't had a chance to really try it out until earlier this month (April). Bottom line: We love it. It lives up to expectations and beyond.
We live on a lake that feeds directly into a river, and my son loves to fish. We also have a canoe (borrowed from a friend who stores it at our house) and two kayaks, but he wanted something more stable for fishing from. Now that Spring has hit, this has quickly become our go-to for quick outings on the lake. The stability means we can jump off the sides for a quick dip in the river. It does well in the shallows that sometimes form when the dams above us on the river are employed to lower the water levels. It's great for taking a small group of kids out in because of the stability and sturdiness.
I'll probably always be a kayak girl when I'm alone, but for family outings, this one is our fav. We're planning to add plywood & seats (per another reviewer's suggestions) later this summer. Oh, and I'm loving the upper body workout I get from rowing my son all over so he can fish and swim! 😀

The first one came and had deep scratch marks along with what looked like dried water/dust all over the bottom. The oar seams were off-center and one side was much softer than the other sides of the seams so packed it up and returned it to be on the safe side.
Replacement had deep scratches and marks along the top and the bottom had two deep scratches that looked like they were heat sealed with an iron or something. The area around the scratches was smooth and shiny and not like the rest of the bottom so I inflated and the floor had a slow leak. I couldn't find the leak and it didn't appear to be at those sealed scratches so I contacted Intex and they replaced that one also. That replacement came in and again, the top has deep scratches that in some spots took the ink/paint off and other spots the crease where the scratch is will probably take some time to flatten out if it even will. Even fully inflated the deep creases where those scratches are remain for now.
The boat itself seems to be much better than a pool toy but the packaging and quality control needs to be a priority. I question if I didn't receive at least 2 of these used. I would have given 2-3 stars if customer service wasn't as quick and responsive as they were.
Will update after the boat is used for the first time.

So I was excited to get this. I took it out about 5 times to some local lakes for fishing. I also built the custom plywood flooring that is found on YouTube and other internet searches. There is no doubt the quality of material and price point make this a great item. However, with fishing it is just too much labor to get out there. I never felt comfortable rowing even with the flooring. Dragging all the gear just makes it too much set up time to get this boat on the water. I went out the first time and quickly learned that I needed an anchor or you will drift all over the place even in calm water making it hard to fish. I never could find a comfortable chair. You can only row it by sitting low. So when I rowed to a spot I then would have to break out my chair and then repeat the process. It was just way too cumbersome. If you want this to just goof around in the local lake then go for it. But if you want to spend long hours fishing then I found this too time consuming to assembly/set up and get out there. Then you have to disassemble and load into car. It just was never comfortable for me. So…if you want to get out there for fishing I recommend buying a float tube instead. You will certainly be more comfortable and can access the same areas of water. Yes, you will waders and flippers. But you can assemble the float tube so much faster, be more active on the water and get out there plus be more comfortable.

So I blew up the boat in the living room, TOTALLY Larger than I thought. Seems to be when a product says its a 3person boat, it usually seems to be a 2 person boat instead. Well I'm 5' 2" and my better half is 5' 11" and our feel touched so another person could fit in the middle -depending on how you position yourselves in the boat. We purchased it for us and our 2 dogs, so we hope we ALL FIT in there soon. Haven't tried it out on the water yet, but hopefully soon before winter.

Ordered this Dec. 2015 for a family X-Mas gift. Finally go a chance to use it Oct. 9 2016. Got it all pumped up and in the lake only to hear bubbles coming from under the raft. It came with a hole in it where it was folded to fit in the box. First time in the water and it leaked. Also, the inflatable seats had leaks. it came with some patches so I will patch the leaks, but I don't think it will be the same considering how thick the vinyl raft is and how thin the patches are. My advise is to inflate this thing as soon as you can to check for leaks even if you're not going to be able to use it for a while. Since we purchased this long before we had a chance to use it, it is way beyond the timeframe for a return… Once the hole is patched, I think this will be a pretty good raft though.

I purchased this boat, and I'm all about it! It does come with everything listed: boat, 2 fishing rod holders (opposite ends of boat – very nice), pump, & two collapsable oars. Note – there is NO carying bag – so you either have to deflate it & put it back in the box (try putting a semi-wet boat back in cardboard, not fun), or figure out another solution. I had an old suitcase w/wheels that I wasn't using, works perfectly!
As for my rating on this guy, solid 4 stars! It blows up in minutes (i have an electric colman pump – must buy for this b/c it deflates as well) and you're out on the water in around 10min. The boat itself is bigger than I thought, and the material is really sturdy. Ok, sturdy as plastic can be, I wouldn't go jumping around on it…but i do feel quite safe in the water with it. It is large enough for 2 full grown adults (I'm 6-1) to get in, w/all your gear & a cooler, and not even touch each other.
The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars is for the oars. They're pretty solid, but are too short to use the oar holders & properly row the boat. I've ended up using one & working the boat like a canoe, which works pretty well…but can get tiring; maybe I just need more practice with them.
Overall, love the thing; I'm taking it back on the water tonight. I might say invest in a kayak paddle if you plan on rowing this; or purchase a small trolling motor & mount.
For the $$ you can't beat this!

Before I had purchased one of these for myself, I had already been using one for years thanks to my friend. This is a great boat, and surprisingly durable for how little it costs. We've been tooling around in one of these in the boundary waters of Northern Minnesota for quite a while, and have even taken it down several miles of the winding Temperance River on numerous occasions (which included several shallow class 2 rapids with lots of rocks) – and not once has it popped a chamber.
Calling this a 4-person boat is a bit misleading, I would say. I suppose you could technically cram 4 average size adults into it, but you would basically all be sitting in each other's laps at that point – and with that much weight in the boat it would take quite a bit of muscle to move it around. Perhaps Intex was referring to 2 adults & 2 small children in the middle. That would be more believable. Also, the foot pump that this boat comes with is a hassle at best. They should honestly just lower the price of the boat & not include it at all. Buy an electric pump for this one. Most of my Coleman quick pumps have attachments that work with the big chambers – and the seats can easily be blown up by mouth in a minute or two.
All-in-all, I was quite pleased with my purchase. To those who referred to the material as flimsy and like a pool toy, that is a pretty unfair description with how durable this boat is – however if you are looking to take on any serious rapids I would look into the higher-end boats that are meant for that sort of thing, and those typically start at about $275.00. You get what you pay for, after all 😉
Hope this helps!

Great product. After much research, I purchased this with the intention of cutting a large sheet of treated wood to act as the floor and covering it with carpet. This worked great and it was not that difficult to cut with my jigsaw. I believe i used 19/32" wood. In retrospect, I would have probably gone a size or two thicker (i was afraid of adding too much weight). Also, I purchased the motor mount, quick 12V inflator/deflator, cheap WMT trolling motor, and smaller deep cycle car audio battery. This project was not too bad or difficult. I would do it again. Family fits fine: myself 215lb, wife, teenager, and 8 year old + chihuahua. The only surprise I got was having to get a police check in Indiana since its manufactured in China before I could register/title it

Easy to inflate with electric pump. Felt very safe and sturdy on the water. Material is very durable.
There's only 2 of us so we had ample leg room for this 3 seater. A third person might not be too comfortable. No regrets purchasing this. Highly recommend for those without space storage for a boat. Priced very well especially for beginners.

Size – this boat is "big" – holds 2 adults and a 5-year-old with room to spare. Floated a calm section of river – a 2-3 hour float and had a great time. Boat is very durable – it bumped into several obstructions and the heavy duty material didn't care. 2 large boston valves inflate the inner & outer perimeter. the floor is inflated via conventional filler like you'd see on a dime store air mattress. It all worked surprisingly well for a 1st adventure. The boat is wide and long – it doesn't have the control or maneuvering or tracking of a kayak – to be expected – made it exciting in some of the faster water. Bought a 12v filler/deflator – a must have for evacuating the floor and getting it back into the box. Was surprised the oars were in the box – came in 3 sections – the oars fit in fixed loops – not oarlocks like you'll see in upper end models – they worked. The boat has separate back rests – out of the 4 groups – we enjoyed our day and had no backaches. A great purchase – highly recommend.

I have taken this raft fishing several times, and I have been happy with the boat every time. The floor does not bow easily and it does not react harshly to movement in the boat. There have been no leaks, and it has went through rocks and rocks. For the money, I have been very happy.
Pros:
Compact enough to fit in my trunk when deflated.
Very sturdy and can support two people and alot of fishing gear very well (we haven't tried out the rated capacity).
Very maneuverable with one person, and still easy to row when there are two.
No leaks or tears.
Cons:
The pump supplied is not very sturdy. The lid has to be screwed slightly loose, and sometimes the plunger breaks off the shaft.
The supplied paddles aren't the best.
It is barely big enough for two people and gear. It would be a very tight fit for three people.

Took the boat on 3 trips. First two days went great but the 3rd day as we were loading it in the water we scraped it on a rock.. when i say scrape i mean a light drag i thought nothing of it but as we were in the water i heard it leaking, we still fished a few hours on it cause of the two other chambers, it held up fine, also i noticed from the day i first blew it up there were a few seams throughout the boat. Dont know if its a defective boat, or as strong of material as they advertise. .All in all i loved this boat until it popped that easily. 3 stars because it still works works fine, but the bottom is flat in the water..

I have taken my raft out three times and I am thoroughly happy with the rugidness of the seams and gauge of the material, the pump that comes with it blows it up in decent time without a heart attack ( even though I did pick up a 12v pump to make things at campsite a bit easier) and it deflates easy with the screw out inlets. But I wish the engineer/person that came up with the length of oars actually tried to paddle with them before okaying them into production. You spend so much energy tryng adjust them to oarlock it makes it very difficult to get anywhere and the job done. I believe they need to be about 8 inches longer to make things a natural rowing motion. I am drilling out rivets and cutting new pieces after I find proper size aluminum to make this whole thing nice. But would be a hell of a lot easier if engineer figured this out, even if it meant paying a few dollars more. It just seems thanks to Home Depot and Walmart we are stuck in a world of make it cheap, cheap is better. I got myself on the windy end of the pond the other day and while I got me and the dog back across it was certainly no easy task. Speaking of which my little Sheltie has trimmed toe nails and is fine in raft as far as puncturing the gauge material and loves going out now. I also would have prefered to pay a few dollars more and have it come with a proper size tote/storage bag for you know the box isn't going to last at campsite and in trunk. I will edit after I finish lengthening oars and find proper size tote around bag but hopefully someone from Intex will read this and make some product changes then this kit will be absolutely unbeatable.

Actually, this is mom posting, not dad. My son originally wanted a kayak, but I thought he would have alot more fun with this boat. I think initially he questioned the durability of an inflatable boat. But after the first few times out in some urban waterways, he knew that this was the boat for him. There are so many positives for the Seahawk, compared to a hard plastic or fiberglass boat. This is easy to transport, comfortable to float in, roomy, cushy, deflatable in the winter, no boat registration necessary. He has had a blast for over thirty days in this boat. Amazon had a great price, free shipping, and arrived promptly. I am so glad that I did my homework and really thought about his needs. I knew he wanted a kayak, but he got a fun floatable boat for himself and his friends. We have had alot of laughs over his adventures. Best purchase for a 19 year old guy.

After doing a little research, the Intex Seahawk boat series seemed the best buy overall. Everything included in the box gets you on the water in about 15-20 minutes. The hand-pump is A VALUABLE MUST-HAVE! It inflates the three Seahawk chambers quickly and efficiently and you WILL want to keep it on the boat with you. The oars are pretty strong with good grips on them. The boat itself is a dream. My friend and I are both 6 feet tall and together with our gear, lunch, and tackle box, the Seahawk comfortably carried us (about 600 lbs altogether) and stayed inflated on the swamp for about two hours. Deflation is easy, too. The Seahawk folds nicely and fits in the back of a car or in a trunk. We've taken it out about three times now and each time has been better than the last, each with varying weight (but never nearing 810lbs like the Seahawk max capacity suggests). It's a very comfortable ride, too: we glided over the swamp like nothing, and even when the underside of the Seahawk hit reeds, branches, or logs just under the surface of the water, the strong PVC held up and moved us forward without any snagging. (Always check your boat before and after you take it out on the water, especially the seams and bottom. This thing holds up!)
My only wish is that Intex would include a second 10 CM measuring "tape" in the repair/gear bag. The 10 CM measuring "tape" is a flimsy piece of plastic that allows you to properly measure two of the three chambers in the Seahawk to make sure that they aren't overinflated (which makes you more prone to punctures and leaks!). The piece of plastic is just that…a little strip that you have to keep in the gear bag, lest it be lost forever. Overall, I think the Seahawk is a great purchase and that Intex has a great product here for anyone who loves the outdoors and the water but doesn't have a lot of money or experience. Will be buying a smaller boat (probably the Challenger series) for single-person use! Thanks, Intex!

I was purchasing a battery and motor mount online for my Seahawk 4 when I realized I should write a review. I have owned my Seahawk 4 for 5 years and I still love it. It’s a large, durable, comfortable boat that’s perfect for someone who enjoys the outdoors but doesn’t have the space or means to purchase a wooden or metal boat trailer.I’ve taken it out fishing a couple of times a year over the past 5 years, and the rest of the time it’s folded up in a closet or under the bed. Frankly, I have not been careful with this boat – it has been hauled over rocks, wrapped up for storage, and spent days in the Arizona sun before being put away. Because of this, I love this boat even more now than I did 5 years ago, and I am now in the process of upgrading and adding a trolling motor for my next fishing trip. I would not hesitate to buy it again. Highly recommended.

This boat was a gift for someone and it is amazing! The boat is very easy to inflate, taking only a few minutes with an electric pump (which is not provided- use your own). The boat has been used in both freshwater and in saltwater for many trips. It is still in great condition and works great! It is a very good value for the price. It is very sturdy and even holds up to teenage boys! It is advertised as a three person boat, but really only fits two adults. We have fished in this boat and it's very durable. Comes with oars that are nice because they disassemble when needed for storage and are very lightweight. You can't go wrong with this great inflatable boat.

I’m happy to say that there were no problems inflating, transporting, or using it on a river of darkness, sticks, limbs, and branches. It was all easy, although the physical work of paddling left him a little sore.

He swore that inflatable boats would never work in this river full of trees and sticks. He just knew it was a bad proposition and was convinced we would drown. I’m happy to say he was wrong. There was nothing wrong with inflating, transporting, or using it on a river of darkness, sticks, limbs, and branches. Although he was a little sore from the physical work of paddling, it was all very easy to realize that we were both half-crippled old men.

I have this and the excursion 5. The difference in length is negligible. Regardless of what it says on the boat, regulations and maximum capacities are set by the Coast Guard in the U.S., interestingly, my pedal boat and fiberglass Jon Boat lost their Coast Guard ratings (Reduced by more than half), while this is allowed its maximum rating.
The material on the Seahawk seems to be thicker than the Excursion 5. On the excursion, the seams didnt hold up at all and I probably didn't get 6 or 7 days use out of it before the main valves started leaking and the seams began separating. It's been sitting out back for over a year in completely useless condition.
The Excursion feels like an overgrown pool toy. A buddy of mine down the road (Were on the Tennessee River) has a Sea Eagle. As far as the boat itself, (you can mount a much larger engine on the Sea Eagle's), but as for the boat itself, this boat makes me just as comfortable that it wont come apart, deflate and sink while running up and down the Tn River as his thousand dollar Eagle. I think his is rated up to a 40, and this is rated for a .5, and not saying anyone should do it but there is a guy on YT who put a 75 on one of these things and took it across the Gulf. Not saying anyone should do that. Just saying. Plenty of people have made it clear these can easily handle more than a .5.
Overall I like the boat. Much better than the lesser designed Excursion 5

I just bought this inflatable boat and took it for a ride last week. I bought it off of Amazon and it arrived 3 days earlier than expected, I wasn’t home for the weekend but even knowing they left the boat in front of my apartment no one stole it.
The boat is big enough for 3 people to fish from it, but if you have tackle and a cooler, it’s best for two.
The materials look good and I hope there won’t be any problems in the future.
Now for the not so good parts.
1. The first problem encountered is that the inflatable floor does not have a large valve, only small ones. When you want to deflate it, you have to keep squeezing the valve with your hand. It’s a pain in the ass and I don’t understand why they were so cheap to not install the same valve as the other two. You can’t even fold the boat up because there is always some air left in the floor compartment.
2. the biggest problem is that it’s hard to maneuver the boat with the oars. It doesn’t have a rotating oar lock (the kind that holds the oar in place and rotates). You have to secure the oars by hand, which is a pain in the butt. The oars themselves are very sturdy. If you are on a lake, don’t go too far from shore because if there is wind, you won’t make it back. Also make sure you have an anchor so that if there is wind you can at least stay put and not leave the shore. I set out from one shore and because of the wind (with two people on board) I couldn’t get the boat back to where I was and had to walk downwind to the other side and back. I think if you plan on installing a motor on the boat (which I didn’t), it would be no problem.
The boat is a bit heavy and hard to pack, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing since it’s made of thick material.
Overall, I’m happy with the boat because I got everything necessary for just over $100. Fishing from the boat was a bit difficult as you can’t stand on the boat and the boat kept moving due to the waves (even with a big anchor). The Sevylor, which seats 6 (actually 3), is another option that has a rotating paddle lock, but the problem is that you have to buy your own paddle, which costs at least $30-$40.

I have been out on a raft on a lake near my house twice. The first time I caught a 12 inch rainbow trout. I suggest you purchase a battery powered inflator. It takes about 6 minutes to inflate the boat. I used a hand pump the first time …… It was a real challenge for me at 69 years old. …… , ordered and received a battery pump the second time ….. , much easier. I’m still learning how to rig a raft on a homemade anchor…. …working so it doesn’t drift around when fishing on windy days.

This boat can accommodate 3 people, but I wouldn’t take an extra person with me, so this boat can accommodate 2 people. You can relax and stretch your legs. It is very reliable and easy to paddle after you figure it out. The boats are harder to control, especially when it’s windy, and if you’re not paying attention they can take you to shore. Don’t sleep on the boat! Bring a life jacket and lots of water, just in case! Have fun!
HomeHaven (verified owner) –
Surprisingly large and very tough. I bought it to float in the lake near my house. It holds me, my husband, my teenage stepson, our life preservers, a soft-sided cooler and four paddles with room to spare. The first time we launched it, we accidentally dragged it over some sharp rocks, but it didn’t get punctured or torn. I’m willing to bet it will last a few more years if we treat it well. Because of its size, it can be a little soft in the water and a little difficult to steer and control.
UPDATE: After almost a year of use, this boat has been very well maintained. We purchased a few upgrades and now we can’t live without them: an electric air pump for inflation, an electric trolling motor and boat batteries (and the motor mounts needed for the boat). The motor has really added to the fun and practicality; we did have fun when it was just us and the oars, but now we can fill up on beer and glide across the lake effortlessly. I’ve also been impressed with the durability of the boat so far; it’s gone through a few scrapes and touched some sharp edges, but still seems airtight. One thing to note: while the boat does accommodate four adults, there isn’t much room for anything else. Three adults and some supplies would be more appropriate.
UPDATE II: After a year and a half of use, the boat started leaking air and we couldn’t find a leak; I’m guessing the problem is in the inflation valve.

I was amazed when I opened the box at the quality of the boat. My in-laws had purchased 6 boats a few years ago and they were really surprised as to what I had received, far above what they had bought. I am adding that I purchased the Intex motor mount since this review. The picture showed the boat was supposed to have Motor mounting pads welded onto the boat. The manufacturer said mine was defective then and Amazon shipped me a new one within 12 hours. I found the same defect and returned the boat. Amazon said they would pull the ad, (which they failed to do) and contact Intex to make sure I received the right boat. The part number on the box is supposed to have mounts. Therefore I am lowering my rating until this is sorted out. Buyers beware before ordering. Amazon bends over backwards to help, so the blame is on Intex !

Weve had one of the kayaks before, and this is still fairly easy to inflate but not as fast because it;s bigger. 2 chambers use the Boston valves, which I love. The first chamber uses a standard clear plastic valve like you find on beach balls. That one was a pain for deflating and I had to ask someone in the parking lot for their pliers. We took this out on a very calm river, and I d say thats about all Id be comfortable taking it out on since its slow to paddle and unless you are going with the current, you wouldn&;t want to be out in a current. But for calm waters it was great. We had 2 adults and 3 kids in it no problem. Even with all of their shenanigans, they couldn it flip it. Very sturdy. Definitely plan to enjoy some fishing in this boat.

I ordered the Mariner 4 first- and make no mistake, it is a fine boat.
Trip 5 or 6 I ripped a hole in the M4, my fault, not the boat- quite happy with the boat.. Just heavy.
So while I arrange repair on the M4 I order the Seahawk 4… Arrived yesterday, assebled before going bass fishing tomorrow. (Excellent, very, very nice)
I quickly realized I could have had almost three of these for what I paid for the M4. (Live and learn) I have a strong suspision I will prefer this one over the M4 for a number of reasons.
The M4 has a nice semi-hard floor, but at a price, very heavy, much more expensive. The material of the S4- forget about it, it is very robust.
Once I fix the M4 I will have a primary/ backup- I will be completely covered, one goes down due to a hook, or another dumb bank landing into sharp rocks, so what, go get #2 from the car

The fact that you can get a legit boat that fits 3-4 people + gear pretty comfortably for under $100 blew our minds. We brought this thing with us to a lake for a week of activities. We hiked it half a mile each way every day, fully inflated, through trees and rocks, scraping it on everything as we went, and it didn't even come close to popping at any point. We tied this thing to the roof of our car and drove around with it, had a bunch of people jumping on it and filling it with stuff, and left it generally baking in the sun for basically an entire week, and it still looks as good as new. The pump and oars it comes with are solid. The raft itself has plastic loops and attachment points on it in several places, great for tying gear down. 10/10, would buy again, but I won't need to because the first one is holding up so well!
FashionFanatic (verified owner) –
Really good boat for the price point. Not really a white water rafting boat, more of an upgraded play boat. Great for paddling out on lakes to relax or drift down lazy rivers. As always, once you throw gear in the boat (vest, ice chest, camera, etc) it isn't really a 3-person boat…more like 1 adult with gear, 1 adult & 1 child with gear, 2 adults with minimal gear, 2 adults & 1 child with no gear,…or 2 adults and gear in which the adults don't care about the occasional footsie & leg touches.
3 air chambers = outer body ring, inner body ring, and floor. Boston valves on the two body chambers.
NOTE: the included Intex "Double Quick II" pump blew out on it's second use for inflating the boat – might be me pumping too hard or something – fortunately friends with had a pump I borrowed to substitute then later in the trip I had to find stores to replace it (Walmart = Intex "Double Quick III S" pump and Cabela's = Outcast "Aire double action" pump).
Used the boat paddling out to the middle of Jackson Lake in Grand Teton and then swam from the boat there. Then did a few hours float drifting down the Yellowstone River in Paradise Valley from the Loch Leven ramp to the Pine Creek ramp.
I also have the Intex Mariner 4 which is a much more robust boat with 5 inflation chambers, oar locks, solid floor for standing in the boat to fish, etc but this boat is much heavier to transport making it less easy to get going in/out of the water by yourself so if you're just doing more of a play day on the water the Intex Seahawk series is a better choice for that.
